    "Epson Procedures for prolonged Absence - What you should do when out of the office for 2 weeks.

    To Our Epson End Users,

    In the wake of how the COVID-19 situation is evolving, more companies are taking the action of working from home or taking off from work, as such the Epson SureColor that you own will be left unattended and below will be a guideline to follow that will ensure the printer will continue to operate when business picks back up.

    For Businesses closing for 14-17 days:


    • Ensure that you have a fresh full set of ink installed on the machine so that it can maintain is regular cleaning cycles
    • DO NOT UNPLUG YOUR SURECOLOR
    • Before you leave on the last day, perform a manual head cleaning and also clean the capping area

    For Businesses Closing for 3 weeks or more:


    • Ensure that you have a fresh full set of cleaning cartridges for your SureColor
    • Go into the maintenance menu -> pre-storage maintenance
    • The Epson will flush the lines and the head and stay charged with cleaning solution for the duration your business is closed, you can unplug the printer safely in this state
    • Upon returning ensure you have a full set of inks to do the initial charge and the printer will return to a good working condition
